The Center for Green Schools, The Collaborative for High Performance Schools, The Association of School Business Officials, and the National Rural Education Association are working together to create grant writing tools and provide direct coaching for school districts to use to apply for a U.S. EPA Environmental and Climate Justice Community Change Grant. Applications for this grant are due on a rolling basis until November 21, 2024.

The tools and grant writing templates allow school districts to more quickly understand the requirements and collect the information they need to apply. The first districts that decide to pursue this opportunity will be given free consulting hours with a professional grant writer as they finalize their application.

The first step is to review our Readiness Check documents to understand if your school district is a good fit for this funding:

Once you determine if your school district wants to pursue this opportunity, sign up for our training series to jump-start your knowledge and preparation for the grant application. School districts that sign up for the training series will be eligible for free consulting hours with a professional grant writer to help them create a strategy for their application and finalize their documents.
